  • Individual therapy for adults, adolescents, and children.
  • Couples therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Clinical supervision
For over ten years, I have worked with a multitude of presenting issues and concerns. I am open and accepting of any problems or areas you would like to work on. My clinical interests include:
  • Depression and anxieties
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Adjustments to life transitions (divorce, job changes, etc.)
  • Post-traumatic stress (from traumas including abuse and neglect)
  • Couple and family conflict
  • Substance abuse

Starting therapy can be a daunting and stressful experience, particularly if you have never been in counseling. I will provide you with a safe, warm, and accepting place to begin your personal exploration. We will regularly check-in to discuss your level of comfort and satisfaction with counseling, and I encourage you to discuss any concerns or unmet needs with me at any time. The length of time you spend in therapy varies greatly, and depends on your issues, concerns, and needs. We will talk about what the best course of treatment might be, and make any necessary changes or adjustments along the way.

Here's what to expect when we begin our work togetherů. If you begin individual counseling, we will meet for an intake session in which we will begin to get to know each other, explore significant issues and goals, and look at your personal history. Thereafter, we will discuss your needs, develop therapeutic goals and milestones, and meet on a weekly or bimonthly basis. I will work with you to develop insight and build upon your inner resources and strengths. If you start couples therapy, we will meet together for an intake session for the first 30 minutes. Afterwards, I will meet with each of you individually for 30 minutes to discuss your early histories and any personal issues that might play into your relationship. This will be the only time that I will meet with you individually, as I will then work as your relationship's therapist and encourage a milieu of openness and communication.

For family therapy, we will also meet for initial intake session, first as a group and then individually to discuss histories, current issues and concerns, and goals. We will work together to resolve conflict and trauma, improve communication and empathy, and strengthen the family system. At your request, I can provide you with a comprehensive, written mental health assessment that includes testing, any relevant diagnoses, and treatment recommendations. I can also offer you referrals to services that may enhance your therapy. These might include acupuncture, psychiatric treatment, or vocational rehabilitation.

I also offer clinical supervision to masters level counselors who are working toward licensure. I have worked with several interns and therapists over the past five years from a variety of universities, and supervised a team of adult and family therapists in my latest position as the Director of a counseling agency. I currently provide individual and/or group supervision for therapists and social workers. We can discuss the specifics of your required supervision hours for your desired licensure.
